About the Wichita Aqua Shocks

The Wichita Aqua Shocks, founded in 1997, is a non-profit organization wiht the goals of helping team members develop and refine their swimming skills.  Wichita Aqua Shocks Team participates in the Missouri Valley Division of United States Swimming.  Aqua Shocks' swimming have te opportunity to develop and excel whil participating in USA sanctioned swim meets.  As swimmers progress and achieve qualifying times, they may participate in Missouri Valley and USA championships.  Team member have competed in Level I, Level II, Division I, Division II, Central ZOones, and Region VIII championship meets.  Even if competitions and championships are not the goal, swimming develops stamina, discipline and a drive to excel.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to offer the youg people in Wichita and surrounding areas an opportunity to participate on a competitive swim team, offering the opportunity of developing and refining their swimming skills, develop friendships, build physical stamina and discipline, to be a part of a team.  Within our program young people set goals, strive to obtain those goals, all with the support of team coaches, teammates and team parents.
