Coaching Staff

Head Coach Steve Buehne

Coach Steve began his swimming career in 1986.  He started out as a stroke and turn judge, then a referee for the United States Swimming.  Since 1988, Steve has helped coach the Emporia Aquatic Club.  In 1989, he organized and directed the KU Swim Camp.  Steve moved to Wichita in April of 1997, and formed the Wichita Aqua Shocks. Steve majored in education while attending Wichita State and Emporia State Universities.  His training in education, experience in swimming, and dedication to young people, result in a special rapport with the team.
